To use the drop cap feature in Microsoft Word, you can:
Select the first letter of the paragraph
Go to the Insert tab
Click Drop Cap in the Text group
Choose the drop cap option you want
Drop cap options:
Dropped: The drop cap fits within the paragraph
In margin: The drop cap is outside of the paragraph, in the margin
Customizing the drop cap:
To create a custom drop cap, select Custom Drop Cap
To change the font, size, or color of the drop cap, select Drop Cap > Drop Cap Options
To change the font, size, or color of the drop cap, select the drop cap and then choose your desired options from the Home > Font menu
Removing the drop cap:
To remove the drop cap, select the text then go to Insert > Drop Cap > None
