Anwaarul Haq Kakar has etched his name into the annals of Pakistani political history by becoming the caretaker prime minister with the longest tenure.
Since his swearing-in on August 14, 2023, Kakar has overseen the nation’s affairs for an impressive 131 days, breaking the previous record held by Mian Soomro.
Anwaarul Haq Kakar’s tenure surpasses that of his predecessors, with Mian Soomro previously holding the record for a 130-day term from November 16, 2007, to March 24, 2008.
