Most historians including Ibn Ishaq, Al-Tabari and Ibn Siraj(also known Martin lings) name Iyas Bin Muadh as the first in Yathrib to have accepted Islam. His entrance to the fold of islam occurred when a declaration from Yathrib had arrived asking for the help of Quraish in 614 AD(Fifth Nabvi), Iyas being a part of that declaration.it also happened to be the first time that Muhammad (S.A.W.W) inivited someone from Yathrib to the fold of Islam. Similarly Ibn Ishaq in his book, “Life of Muhammad” has named Iyas to be the first.
