“Darul Imarat” is an Arabic term that translates to “Governor House” or “House of Governance.” In the context of governance structures, particularly in historical Islamic administrations, it refers to the official residence or administrative headquarters of a governor appointed to oversee a specific region or province within an empire or kingdom. These governors were often appointed by higher authorities such as caliphs or sultans to administer civil affairs, maintain law and order, and ensure the collection of taxes. The term is still used in some regions today to refer to the official residence of a governor or administrative head.
