Musa bin Nusayr (often spelled as Musa bin Naseer) was an Arab general and the Umayyad governor of Ifriqiya (North Africa) during the Umayyad Caliphate. He is known for his role in the Islamic conquest of North Africa, particularly the conquest of the Maghreb region, including modern-day Morocco, Algeria, and parts of Tunisia. Musa bin Nusayr played a significant role in expanding Umayyad control into North Africa during the 7th century.
