A. Steel
B. Rubber
C. Glass
D. Sponge
E. None of these
STEEL is most elastic among the rubber, steel, glass and sponge. Steel having the most steep linear stress-strain curve among all.
A stiffer material will have a higher elastic modulus.
Young’s Modulus alt. Modulus of Elasticity – is a measure of stiffness of an elastic material.
Young’s modulus for steel- 200 GPa
Young’smodulus for glass – 50–90 GPa
Young’s modulus for rubber – 1 MPa
Young’s modulus for sponge – 2–4 GPa
A material with a higher Young’s modulus is more elastic.
The correct answer to the question: "Which of the following is most elastic ?" is "Steel ".

Admin can you describe how steel is elastic, in my view it is most hard among the above mentioned elements
Rubber is correct answers
Steel is not elastic
rubber is the most elastic substance because of cross linking between polymer chains

Dear,
Steel is the least elastic among the given materials.
Plz check the definition of elasticity.
Is steel the most elastic of all the given materials?
Yes steel is more elastic than glass, rubber , sponge.steels young modulus is more which h determines the elastic nature.steel’s young modulus is 200 Giga Pascal’s while other’s is very less. The other materials stretchiness is more than steel’s.
It is not your common elasticity, according to physics elasticity is resistance to change , and steel offer better resistance to change and comes back to normal shape
steel is the right answer
Not resistence to change. Elasticity is body which undergoes a change by applying force but get back it original shape when force remove. But if steel deform by applying force, it ill not get back to orginal shape.
Elasticity and stretchiness are two different things, clear your mind. Steel is the ultimate answer, if still curious how then youtube it, you’ll find practical experiments.
Steel is wrong answer.
why? please explain
By this definition, steel is more elastic than rubber because steel comes back to its original shape faster than rubber when the deforming forces are removed. Elasticity In Physics And In Common Life: In common life we label a substance as more elastic if it can be stretched more than others

Featured snippet from the web
Steel is more elastic than rubber. We know that Young’s modulus is the ratio of stress to the strain. … Therefore, for a given stress, the strain produced in steel is much smaller than that produced in the rubber. This implies that Young’s modulus for steel is greater than that for rubber.
Rubber is correct answer
Elasticity is the the property of material change in size under external force .and come back in its original state
Rubber gives more change to its orignal state under the external force.in elastic limit
Steel is right answer
Elasticity is the ability of a material to regain its own original shape after being stretched according to which, rubber is the most elastic substance.
please guide us through explanation s
Young’ modulus explains elasticity of materials.
In rubber maximum deformation can be produced with minimal effort. On the other hand steel is more resistant to deformation and maintains higher value of Young modulus. So steel is right answer.
