Several rivers flow through Gilgit-Baltistan. The most prominent is the Indus River, which is a major river in the region and forms a significant part of its geography. Additionally, the Gilgit River, a tributary of the Indus, flows through the region, as does the Hunza River. The Shyok River and the Shingo River also flow through Gilgit-Baltistan, the latter joining the Indus River near Marol.
