Given that,
Four wires of same material, the same cross-section area and the same length .
So, resistance of each wire is R
Equivalent resistance in parallel
Now, four wires is connected in parallel
So, resistance of each wire is 100 ohm
Now, four wires is connected in series then,
The equivalent resistance
Hence, the equivalent resistance in series will be 400 ohm.

there is a mistake in this question if Req=25Q only then the answer would be 400.
but here in the question Req=0.25Q so now the answer is 4.
kindly check it and correct it.
either correct answers or correct question by replacing 0.25 with 25.
thanks dear zubair yameen for correction. Corrected now
Asalamoalikum if Req in parallel connection is 0.25Q then the Req in series would be 4Q
And if Req in parallel is 25Q then Req in series would be 400Q
Please correct it.
Thanks updated now
If every wire having the resistance of 1 ohm then their parallel combination would producer result of 0.25 ohm
Anyhow if we will connect them in series then their resultant would be 4 ohm
thanks for correction.
